HCPT Indonesia started providing mobile telecom services in Indonesia in April, 2007 after getting mobile licenses from CAC in 2006.It has attracted large number of users and become the fourth largest operator in Indonesian telecom market.

To keep being ahead of the competition and obtain the potential subscribers

Being an operator in a country with potential develope capability, to keep being ahead of the competition and obtain the potential subscribers in other islands besides Java and Sumatra, HCPT offered 4- phase project to its ex-provider. While due to the difficulty of Site acquisition and tower supply limitation in Indonesia, the phase 1 & phase 2 were delayed, and then phase 3 & Phase 4 were finally cancelled.

ZTE is chosen as the sole vendor

In 2007, ZTE was chosen as the sole provider for HCPT’s GSM network expansion in two outer islands by reason of the cost effective GERAN solution, project’s fast implementation and efficiency management.

The turnkey project includes more than 1,000 BTS sites, supporting 1.7 million subscribers, considering for the fast growing of HCPT network in the coming 2 years.

Milestones

> In February 2008, contract signed with HCPT about 3-phase network expansion project, covered more than 1200 BTS sites and 7000TRX. ZTE has become the strategic partner of HCPT.

> In July 2007, RFP released, ZTE submitted technical solution for total 5 phases after around one month preparation.

> As of April 2007, network planning, site survey and other preparation work started for HCPT.
