ZTE “EyeWill” VSS — Environmental Protection Solution

The conventional manual surveillance generally used now has a low frequency. So it is difficult to correctly reflect environment quality and pollution discharge conditions. The low frequency of manual surveillance and analysis, as low as once to twice a year and not more than once a month, makes it very hard for surveillance results to accurately reflect environment quality. This on the one hand may cause incorrect judgment about environment quality and delayed information about environment changes, on the other hand gives illegal enterprises a chance to stealthily discharge pollutants that exceed the stipulated standards. Gradually building and perfecting an automatic environment and pollution source surveillance system is an inexorable trend of the environmental protection work.

As China’s industrialization and urbanization are progressing very fast, the discharge volume of main pollutant such as living and industry waste gases and water is soaring, seriously endangering people's living environment. Eye Will “Environmental Protection Surveillance” System Composition

Integrating the environment surveillance platform of the “Eye Will” video surveillance system, online environment surveillance GIS electronic map, and video surveillance, and based on optical fibers and an ADSL broadband network, the system can accept data of waste gases and smokes and seamlessly link with online surface water, atmosphere, and noise surveillance station systems, achieving high environment surveillance efficiency.

The Eye Will “Environment Surveillance” system is composed of four parts: the Pre-Unit (PU) subsystem, transmission subsystem, service platform subsystem, and environment surveillance center subsystem. The PU subsystem contains video cameras on enterprise sites, PU, and online measurement equipment for environment surveillance. The network transmission subsystem contains wire-line and wireless network transmission equipment and lines. The service platform subsystem contains service management, streaming forwarding and storage service. The environmental protection department surveillance center contains an environment surveillance data summary and analysis software platform, a surveillance display system, a GIS, and a query and control system.

Eye Will “Environmental Protection Surveillance” Solution Highlights

  • Real-time monitoring of environment surveillance sites
    Based on an advanced network video surveillance platform, the system can monitor pollutant discharge sites in real-time, effectively supervising enterprise’s pollutant processing procedures.
  • Cooperative alerting of environmental protection
    The environment protection system can set a related alarm triggering mechanism. When pollutant exceeds the stipulated standards or other alarm information is generated, the system cooperates with the “Eye Will” video surveillance platform to conduct alerting snapshot and recording.

    Videos and pictures snapped for alerting can be queried by surveillance point positions and time to improve the efficiency of environmental protection law enforcement.
  • Electronic map integration
    On the electronic map on the client, pollutant data of surveillance points can be viewed in real time. Surveillance videos of any surveillance point that has the right can be viewed on the electronic map according to the surveillance requirement.
  • Voice intercommunication between environmental protection surveillance points
    Although pollutant discharge surveillance points are scattered, interactive voice surveillance can be conducted between the surveillance center and the surveillance points. Environment surveillance persons can hear sound of the pollutant discharge site and schedule and monitor on-site people’s operations remotely with voice. This function can also conduct auxiliary monitoring of on-site noise pollution.
