There are diversified in-building scenarios, and most of them are important facilities, such as hotels, office buildings, government departments, etc, where VIP customers are concentrated and demand heavy data services. The core frequency band of 3G is 2GHz. Compared with 900 MHz used by 2G networks, the frequency band of 3G has inferior penetration and diffraction and leads to insufficient coverage in indoor environments. Therefore, advantageous in-building coverage guarantees the brand image.

ZTE’s 3G in-building system solutions use the multi-RRU cell combination technology which separates the coverage and capacity in indoor environments, simplifies the design, and improves the accuracy and speed of design. Resources of the existing 2G in-building systems are utilized to facilitate the deployment of 3G systems and reduce the investment in network construction. They allow smooth evolution and capacity expansion, which will significantly reduce investment in the future. 1. Experience in collaboration on in-building and out-building systems

ZTE has years of experience in optimization in-building systems for WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, CDMA and GSM networks in China and other countries and offers solutions of complex collaboration on in-building and out-building systems. These solutions can remarkably improve network quality. For example, after the optimization for collaboration on in-building and out-building systems for CSL, the network-wide call drop rate was reduced to less than 0.5%.
