Introduction for ZXCTN Product

ZXCTN series is ZTE’s new generation IP Transport Network Platform (IPTN) in compliance with IP-based service development trend. The packet-based multiservice bearer platform provides Mobile Backhaul and FMC end-to-end solution and supports smooth network evolution to lower CAPEX and OPEX for carriers.

ZXCTN series, applied to network accessconvergence and core layer, integrates packet and transport technologies to meet complex service demands. As, the platform based on packet switching has multiservice interfaces, synchronous clock, carrier-class OAM & protection and other functions, it can process and transmit Ethernet, ATM and TDM carrier-class services.

ZXCTN series consists of ZXCTN 6100, ZXCTN 6200, ZXCTN 6300, ZXCTN 9004 and ZXCTN 9008.

ZXCTN 6100 is the compact packet transport network platform. The box equipment is applied to network access layer, and works as multiservice access and edge gateway equipment.

The rack-type equipment ZXCTN 6200 and ZXCTN 6300 provides redundant protection for equipment-level key units in packet switching structure. ZXCTN 6200 is applied to network access layer and small-capacity convergence layer, and ZXCTN 6300 to network convergence layer.

The rack-type equipment ZXCTN 9004 and ZXCTN 9008 are applied to network core/convergence layer, take the ideas of distributed and modular design and support large-capacity switching matrix.

  • Multiservice bearer platform meeting full-service demands

With PWE3 technology, ZXCTN series based on full-packet structure is compatible with such services as TDM, ATM and FR, and meets full-service demands and lowers the network TCO.

  • Leading timing processing function offering high-precision synchronization

Combining G.8261 and 1588V2 technologies, ZTE proposes the leading “time synchronization Ethernet” solution to control message transport frequency and shorten convergence time. The hardware can insert and extract precise time stamp in the same way as 1588 protocol to improve time synchronization precision. And it ensure reliable synchronous transmission.

  • Perfect end-to-end QoS providing differentiated service (Diff-Serv)

ZXCTN series supports end-to-end QoS management to provide the required delay, jitter and bandwidth for different services. And it can implement user-level multiservice bandwidth control and service access SLA to guarantee better operation of carrier network.

  • Powerful hierarchical OAM increasing network availability

The OAM of ZXCTN series, the hierarchical monitoring based on hardware mechanism to fast detect and locate faults, monitor the performance and manage end-to-end (ETE) services, and supports the continuous and on-demand OAM to telecom-level service QoS in Packet Transport Network (PTN). The hierarchical OAM, based on physical port, logic link, tunnel and pseudowire, makes network operation, administration and maintenance more transparent and simpler.

  • Multiple reliability mechanisms ensuring network security

ZXCTN series supports good equipment-level, network-level and network edge-level protection to assure 50ms switching. These protections lead to the carrier-class reliability of 99.999%.

  • Open technology platform supporting high growth of service network

ZXCTN series, the open technology platform, is compatible with conventional transmission and data network and is compliant to T-MPLS (MPLS-TP), IP/MPLS and Ethernet ring technologies to reduce the risk in technology selection for future network evolution.

  • Unified NMS simplifying OAM

ZTE’s unified network management platform NetNumen T3 can manage ZXCTN series as well as SDH/MSTP, ASON, WDM and OTN equipments at the same time. It creates and manages ETE path, offers powerful QOS and OAM, and fulfill realtime alarm and performance monitoring. As it is easy to operate and maintain NE management function and friendly GUI which is compliant to the requirements of conventional transport network, PTN is manageable and maintainable for the first time.
