Over the Air (OTA) Product

Today, Multimedia and data services are growing at a fast rate and generating much higher ARPU than voice calls. However, to realize the revenue growth, those new services and applications must work easily and reliably. Customers must be able to access and use them with little operation.

According to our Statistic onChinese operator, more than 20% of handsets are not correctly configured to access those services. On some networks this percentage is even higher.

The mobile operators need a technology to remote configuration customer handset, then to control the customer handset. The technical generation of OTA is to adapt the demand of mobile operators.

Over the air(OTA) standardizes in the OMA(Open Mobile Alliance) which is supported by most handsets today.

Some customers have little knowledge about handsets; they do not know how to configure their handsets by manual way or by OTA. The best way is automatically configured handset parameter after subscribing new data services. Auto device detection (ADD) function is the solution to satisfy the demand. The function of ADD is usually a part of the platform of OTA.
