ZTE has been committed to providing meticulous services to customers, to help them address the ever-changing market requirements and fast technical development. The expert team of ZTE has accumulated rich experience from long-time R&D activities and domestic and foreign network construction projects, and will help customers to make use of its expertise in
ZTE’s network optimization engineers conduct drive tests, CQT tests, interference tests, data service tests, network management statistics and other approaches for network assessment by objectively measuring indicators of wireless service quality and performance statistics of a network in service. This is the basis of other optimization activities. It is only possible to understand the overall performance of a local network and problems in local areas after the testing and assessment.
1. Information collection and statistics
Collection and verification of network engineering parameters, and summarization of user complaints and network management performance statistics, provide an accurate basis for the network assessment, subsequent network optimization consultation proposals, and network optimization and modification
2. Field testing
Generally, test items include network coverage, frequency interference, call tracking, cutover, sector residence, data services, etc. The test items are described below:
1) Test DT calls in designated cities. The tested places are mainly urban areas to check whether the coverage is evenly distributed in the urban areas.
2) Test CQT calls in designated cities. The tested places are mainly important indoor locations, tourist attractions and service facilities to check the coverage.
3) Test DT calls along main roads and railways.
4) Compare results of different networks.
3. Background performance analysis
Network management background and network optimization analysis software is used obtain statistics about overall or local call traffic distribution, call performance and base station operation state, such as setup rate, call drop rate and handover success rate.
4. Network performance assessment and comparison analysis reports
Based on field testing and analysis of background performance statistics, certain testing requirements are considered to provide a full network assessment and comparison analysis report.
