Spare parts management
In the traditional operation mode, the availability of spare cards and parts plays an important role in minimizing the duration of fault effects, reducing network disruption, and improving network stability and continuous operation. However, along with the business growth, network scale expansion, and upgrading of equipment versions, the shortage of spare parts becomes a increasingly larger concern. At the same time, the management of spare parts themselves (such as inspection, version management, inventory and logistics) is also an outstanding problem effecting efficiency.
Experience of major domestic and foreign operators indicates that the input into procurement and management of spare parts will be huge in the middle and long run.
To address this problem, ZTE, based on its own efficient service network, offers the spare part management services, to provide customers with weatherproof spare parts support and ensure that the customers’ networks can operate stably for a long time. The spare parts services provided by ZTE will help customers reduce investment in spare parts, optimize cash flows and asset structures, improve spare pats management, improve service quality, and pay more attention to their core business.
Spare parts services cover three areas.
Routine spare parts management: Conduct routine management, warehousing and delivery of spare parts; provide statistics and analysis reports and safety stock reports for use by the customer; the reports may cover rate of on-time delivery of spare parts, turnover rate of spare parts stock, rate of overdue borrowings, rate of on-time return of borrowed spare parts.
Spare part inspection: Certain spare parts may stay at warehouses without use for a long time. To ensure the performance of spare parts, it is necessary to inspect spare parts to verify if they are at good state. All spare parts will be sent to the return product service center of ZTE for inspection. Any damaged or failed product will be repaired on a timely manner.
Spare part replacement: ZTE will delivery the replacement parts to designated places for replacing failed parts at the time agreed in the contract.
Spare part pre-replacement: ZTE will delivery the spare parts to designated places for possible use by the customer at the time agreed in the contract.
