Overview of ZXJ10 Large-Scale SPC Switching System

ZXJ10 Digital SPC Switching system, designed specially for the telecommunication networks in 21st century by ZTE, is a large-scale integrated service platform to meet the evolutionary requirements of the current networks for a larger capacity, less offices, higher integration and more services. It complies with the relevant recommendations or standards issued by ITU-T, ETSI, ANSI, China MII and other major regional telecommunication regulators of South-eastern Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Africa and CIS countries.

The ZXJ10 system can be served, with different configurations, as a local, transit, international center or media gateway, and its capacity can vary from several thousands of ports up to 1,000,000 subscriber lines (local office) or 250,000 digital trunks (transit office).

The ZXJ10 system has an abundant product series, which can not only satisfy the requirements for constructing gateway exchanges, tandem exchanges, toll exchanges and end offices, but also meet the requirements of access for communities, schools, enterprises, apartment buildings, commercial & dwelling buildings, etc.

With the structure fully -distributed in capacity, the ZXJ10 system, characters with flexible networking, rich services, high reliability, high integration and huge capacity, etc. The 64K single-T digital switching network (CPSN) card, using the ZTE-owned patent technologies, can be smoothly extended to a 256K switching network to meet the requirements of all large-capacity end offices, tandem offices and gateways. 

As one of the main products of ZTE Corporation, the ZXJ10 switching system has made great market success with years of application experiences. By October 2003, there are more than 55 million lines deployed in China, with a market share over 25%, serving carriers including China Telecom, China Unicom, China Railcom, China Netcom, Jitong and so on. Meanwhile, the ZXJ10 switching system has also been deployed in many countries and regions such as North American, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia, Middle East, Community of Independent States and Africa, etc. The features it provided are very suitable for, not only the domestic but also the oversea carriers, to strengthen the network capabilities for a better service to customers.

Networking solutions
  • 4-level networking;
  • Built-in SDH is used to construct the tree, star, chain, ring or hybrid network topology; 
  • By software configuration, the signaling board ASIG can be configured as TONE, DTMF, MFC, Conference Call or CID boards, etc.
  • All analog trunk cards such as SFT card, EM card, Loop trunk card and ABT trunk card can be inserted in a mixed way. 
Integration

  • 1 STM-1 optic/electric interface provided by STM-1 optical trunk board;

  • GT translation capability: 1500 * N GTT/module (N indicates the number of modules); 
  • 24 V5.2 signaling interfaces, 96 signaling channels and 16 links processed by a single card.
Billing & accounting
  • Billing mode: Centralized billing system;
  • Data security: 2-level caching + 5-level backup, communication interruption protected, double hard disks, data storage in multiple file formats, transaction processing mechanism;
  • Operator priorities: Operator? priorities and rights can be set
  • Report tables: 20 report table templates and customization tools. 
Software
  • Advanced clock management and process scheduling algorithm to increase system? operation efficiency;
  • Advanced fault detection and rubbish handling procedures to bring high reliability and stability to software as well as self-healing function;
  • Perfect software upgrade function. The circuit board can detect and load new software version automatically.  Manual software upgrade through the OAM terminal is also available and convenient;       
  • Software integrity checks on startup; self-recovery is performed in case of failures during the software upgrading.

  • Hotel Service, Wide-area Centrex, Prepaid Service, Secretary Service, Advice of Charge, Call Charge Dunning, wired-wireless integration (Two Phones One Number, Call Partner), PSTN-based SMS and so on;

    LAN: 10Base-T interfaces.
