ZTE VC System Selected for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

27 December 2007, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced that it has been selected by 2008 Beijing Olympic Guarantee Committee to build the Video Conference system of the great event. The system is to be deployed for mainly guaranteeing all the games going smoothly in major "Olympic Cities" like Beijing, Qingdao, Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, Shanghai and Tianjin, and solving different emergent happenings during 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

According to the requirement of the Olympic Guarantee Committee, ZTE got the project because of the technical advantages of VC terminal T502, its perfect after-sale service system and, what's more important, the high-reliable and high-stable scheme specially customized for the project. ZTE VC system got consistent good appraisement from the Committee and won the project solely.

Since its first entry into the multimedia field in 1994, ZTE has developed and provided series of multimedia products on the basis of the technical accumulation in the telecommunication network, multimedia, value added services, etc. In 2007, after release of the new products including ZXV10 M800/T500/T502, ZTE won many VC projects in many provinces in China such as Hunan, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Henan, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Zhejiang, and Xizang. The high definition terminals T500/T502 played important role in these projects with the obvious technical advantages.

The successful bidding of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games guarantee project once again proved the leading position of ZTE Corporation in multimedia videoconference system. This will also help to promote the marketing greatly.
