ETC Introduction
  Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC) is the unique and monopolistic telecom operator of Ethiopia, the government supports ETC for financing and policy making, ETC also promise to develop ICT infrastructure across the nation to support voice, data and video services.   By August 2006, ETC raised a package of the project implementation plan based on the government telecom development plan. By Nov,8th, ZTE signed a contract with ETC of the total package of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars project financing agreement, and invited ZTE to help them develop the GSM, CDMA,NGN, transmission network, data network,access network and Billing, Call center,
Payphone, etc. in the next three years.

Project Requirements of Microwave
  In order to improve the development of the Ethiopian telecom market, ETC has planned the next four years telecom development to enhance and improve the quality of network communications.
Microwave is regarded as a main network transmission solution because of the low cost, fast implementation and network flexibility.
