CSL Introduction
  CSL is Hong Kong's first mobile operator, it started mobile services in 1983. Today, CSL has become Hong Kong's largest operator.It is owned be Telstra, the Australian subsidiary of Telstra Corporation Limited.Its GSM/UMTS network has more than three million users. CSL provides different customers with innovative and concerned services through different brands
  ZTE and CSL has deployed the first largest SDR based HSPA network. The ALL-IP network, provides download speed of 21Mbps up to HSPA + (64QAM) services. It is currently the world's highest data rate for 3G network. It has set new example for global 3G networks.

Project Requirements of Microwave
  "Hong Kong is one of the most difficult cities to deploy the communications networks." Said CSL NWM CEO Tarek Robbiati "High-rises buildings and high density population, make wireless network smorecomplex , so the redeployment of the entire integrated ALL IP- 2G/3G network system would be a severe test."
  Hong Kong is located in the subtropical areas with heavy rainfall. There are many islands and higher buildings. The urban infrastructure restriction leads to so many areas out of fiber service. So microwave be regarded as an important supplementary to fiber because of its higher capacity,
higher reliability, easy installation and fast implementation.

ZTE Cost-Effective Solution
■ Site acquisition is base on detail survey and planning.
　ZTE has adopted a regional division, multi-point access solution. Customer are given a reasonable design based on the 360-degree site survey records to each site, the actual situation of site aquisition, and unified planning. It helps us to save valuable information for future site expansion.

■ Rigorous and reliable microwave link design ensures transmission quality.
  For 23 GHz frequency band from  CSL applied, ZTE improved design standards , the traditional ITU
standard recommended Rain Rate Rp 0.01%=95mm/hr (N rain zone). In fact,ZTE adopted the report of the Hong Kong Bureau of Meteorology, Rain Rate Rp 0.01% = 120mm / hr as the standard for link budget. We tailor the most suitable design of microwave  links for our customer.

■ Customized installation reflects the commitment to customer.
  Equipment installation needs to consider the communication with house owners, the commission and the government. Each microwave link was required to consider with site specific terrain, installation environment and property owners feedback, and required to submit a detailed installation proposals and in compliance with the local government requirements for construction material, personnel and installation standard. ZTE always try to achieve the commitment to customization.
